Judie was born on 7 June 1964 in Los Angeles, California, of American descent; she has four sisters. When she was a child she was very fond of dancing and singing, and began acting at a young age. However, at the moment when she was most famous, she decided to quit acting and go to the University of California, Los Angeles to study Theatre Arts as a major. After graduation from UCLA, she created some eclectic stores which were featured in ‘Top 50 Stores’ in LA.

Judie’s very versatile career started in 1984, when she starred in the movie called ‘Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter’.
During that same year, she filmed ‘Things Are Looking Up’, after which came her two most famous roles, as Hilly in ‘Weird Science’ and Patricia Hickock in ‘American Ninja’. ‘Weird Science’ was a blockbuster teen comic science fiction movie about a couple of teenagers who used a computer program to make a perfect woman, and in which Robert Downey Jr had his first acting role, actually dating Judie’s character.
In ‘American Ninja’, she landed her first lead role opposite Michael Dudikoff, in this action movie about an American soldier skilled in martial arts who gets attacked by mercenaries in the Philippines. In 1987 she played Sara Duncan in short TV series ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, then in 1989 and 1990 she appeared in the horror movie ‘After Midnight’, and the comedy ‘Color Blue’. In the year 2000, she starred in the sci-fi thriller movie ‘Deep Core’.
During the first decade of the 21st century, she starred in the psychological horror film “Hannibal”, portraying a news reporter, and in the neo-noir comedy crime movie “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”’. Additionally, during her career, Judie has guest-starred in many TV shows, such as “The Powers of Matthew Star”, “Midnight Caller”, “Simon & Simon”, ‘90210’, and “Law and Order”. Since 2006 she has only been involved in one short movie project – “The Secret of 40”, in 2016.
