He was raised in the Padre Miguel neighborhood.
Michel’s earliest theatre experience was when he joined the Talentos da Vila Vintém. He was only 10 years old when he joined the theatre and has since been associated with them.
Michel made his debut theatrical film appearance as the younger self of Bené in Cidade de Deus in 2002. In 2007, he was cast in his first TV show as Fininho in Cidade dos Homens.
In 2009, Gomes was cast in the true story of Sandro Barbosa do Nascimento in Última Parada 174 which earned him a lot of recognition. The same year, Michel was also cast as Hulk in Força-Tarefa.
